NOTICE FOR RECALL UNDER THE U.S. FEDERAL BOAT SAFETY ACT
Dear Customer,
Our records indicate you are the registered owner of a product that is the subject of a U.S. Federal Boat Safety Act (FBSA) recall.
What You Need to Know:
Mercury Marine has identified the possibility for injury to occur if fingers enter the top cowl air vents on some engine models. To prevent this, Mercury Marine is offering a bezel assembly to cover the top cowl air vents that will be fulfilled by Quicksilver.
What You Should Do:
If your cowl does not have the bezel assembly currently installed, U.S. customers may choose to install this kit yourself or have your local Mercury Marine Authorized Dealer complete the installation. Canada customers are required to have a Mercury Marine Authorized Dealer complete the installation.
For dealer installations please contact your Mercury Marine Authorized Dealer to schedule a service appointment. When scheduling your service appointment, be sure to mention Mercury Outboard Service Bulletin 2023-30. If you need help locating a dealer, visit mercurymarine.com/find-a-dealer/.
For U.S customer installations please fill out the below form and submit to proceed to kit ordering at no charge and to view a video on how to install the bezel assembly. Please allow 4-6 weeks for part delivery.
Non-U.S. customers are required to have a Mercury Marine Authorized Dealer complete the installation.
