Quicksilver Limited Warranty Terms and Conditions for Ecommerce Sales
Introduction
Quicksilver is committed to providing you a quality product which will provide many years of boating enjoyment. This document outlines the Terms and Conditions of the Quicksilver Parts and Accessories Warranty for purchases made via Ecommerce.
What is Covered
Quicksilver warrants each new or factory rebuilt part or accessory sold by an authorized dealer, Internet seller, or retailer to be free from defects in material and workmanship during the period described in the following paragraph.
Duration of Coverage
This limited warranty provides coverage for Quicksilver branded parts and accessories for one year from either the date on which the product is first sold to a retail customer by an authorized dealer, Internet seller, or retailer, or the date on which the product is first put into service, whichever occurs first. Exceptions include Fuel system components (gas tanks, primer bulbs and fuel lines) certified under EPA CFR 40, and SmartCraft parts and accessories (controls, gauges, displays and hardware) which receive warranty coverage for two years from either the date on which the product is first sold to a retail customer, or the date on which the product is first put into service, whichever occurs first. Parts and accessories installed on Mercury Racing products that have product warranty duration of less than one year, carry limited warranty coverage for a period of time equal to, and not greater than, the duration of the limited warranty originally provided with the parent product. The repair or replacement of parts, or the performance of service under this warranty, does not extend the life of this warranty beyond its original expiration date. Unexpired warranty coverage can be transferred to a subsequent purchaser by maintaining original proof of purchase.
Proof of Purchase Required
The proof of Purchase or Sales Receipt establishes the consumer’s eligibility for warranty under the terms of the Limited Warranty Policy. The applicable Warranty coverage begins upon retail sale or upon first use, whichever occurs first. Per the Limited Warranty Policy, warranty coverage is available to retail customers who purchase from a dealer, Internet seller, or retailer authorized to distribute the product in the country in which the sale occurred. Warranty coverage may be declined on product obtained via any unauthorized source or business.
What is Not Covered
This limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by abuse, or operation of the product in a manner inconsistent with the recommended operation, neglect, accident, submersion, improper installation (proper installation specifications are explained in the installation instructions for the product), improper service, use of an accessory or part not manufactured or sold by Quicksilver, alteration or removal of parts, or water contamination. Parts that are used for any purpose for which they are not intended (outside anticipated applications) are excluded from coverage under this warranty statement. Expenses related to haul–out, launch, towing, storage, telephone, rental, inconvenience, slip fees, insurance coverage, loan payments, loss of time, loss of income, or any other type of incidental or consequential damages are not covered by this warranty. Expenses associated with the removal and/or replacement of boat partitions or material caused by boat design for access to the product are not covered by this warranty
How to Obtain Warranty Coverage
Warranty replacements may be provided for the following scenarios: parts have failed due to a defect in material or workmanship, concealed damages found after shipping, or parts are missing from the original packaging. In such cases replacements may be requested by contacting the Authorized Dealership who sold the part or accessory, or for purchases made through Authorized Internet Sellers or retailers by completing the below form. The original sales receipt is required for all warranty replacements. Quicksilver reserves the right to request any failed components to be returned for analysis.
